Summer of 2027, Travis Reinhold will take on an extraordinary endurance challenge—a roughly 6,000-mile journey through America’s waterways along The Great Loop. But this journey is about far more than the miles. It’s about survival, resilience, hope, and turning one man’s determination into meaningful support for children and families facing cancer.
As a two-time brain cancer fighter, Travis knows firsthand the strength it takes to keep moving forward. Through Looping for a Cure, he is using his journey to raise awareness, inspire others, and work toward a $400,000 fundraising goal in support of the mission and its nonprofit partners. Every mile will be an opportunity to bring people together, create meaningful experiences, grant wishes, and remind children and families facing cancer that they are not alone.
When: May/June 2027
Over the following weeks, Travis will navigate through rivers, lakes, and open waters—facing fatigue, extreme conditions, and mental challenges along the way. His goal? To complete The Great Loop and bringing national attention to the fight against brain cancer.
Where: Mayport Jetties
The journey will begin and end at the Mayport Jetties, a symbolic point where the St. Johns River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. This powerful location represents the full-circle nature of Travis’s mission—fighting his way through every challenge and returning stronger, with renewed purpose and hope for all those battling brain cancer.

Why This Challenge Matters
Brain cancer remains one of the most aggressive and underfunded cancers. The survival rate is only 33.0% over five years, and for the most severe form, glioblastoma, the five-year survival rate is just 6.9%. Travis knows the battle firsthand, and this journey is his way of turning pain into purpose.
By taking on this challenge, he hopes to:
• Raise $400,000 to support the Looping for a Cure mission and our nonprofit partners, helping create meaningful experiences and provide hope for children and families affected by cancer.
• Challenge misconceptions surrounding brain cancer, proving that patients can fight, adapt, and thrive.

the journey—just as they did during his battle with cancer.
